Sioux Falls Annual Golf Tournament

Thank you, to our supporters of the South Dakota Lions Eye Bank, Corporate Cup Gift of Sight Golf Tournaments. These tournaments help us to continue our mission in Enabling the Restoration of the Gifts of Sight and Health. The Eye Bank recently celebrated 10 years of golfing for the Sioux Falls tournament and much appreciated 10 years of support from Ophthalmology Limited, Sioux Falls Family Vision, Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Wells Fargo Bank. The Eye Bank extends a special thanks to our continuous corporate sponsor Ophthalmology Limited. They are a tremendous help in making this tournament a success.

After 10 years popularity hasn’t dwindled, the tournament generated slightly over $16,000 and netted just over $10,000. This tremendous success would not have been possible without all of our strong supporters. We congratulate our corporate cup winners! First place trophy winners Ophthalmology Ltd. team #2; Dr. Byron Hohm, Kevin Crouch, Rob Header, and Tom Kessinger.

Congratulations to the second and third place winners CNA Surety and Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Way to golf to our pin prize winners: closest to the pin Tom Nieman and Bill Allen; longest putt Mark Sweetman and Tiffany Brink and longest drive Eric Olson.

Rapid City Annual Golf Tournament

Thank you, to our supporters of the 8th Annual Corporate Cup Gift of Sight Golf Tournament in Rapid City. You support helps us to continue our mission in Enabling the Restoration of the Gifts of Sight and Health.

We would like to extend a very heart felt thank you to Lion George Brown, our host the Rapid City Downtown Lions, and to our corporate sponsors: Kirk Funeral Home, Pacific Steel, RCC Western Stores, Security National Life, and the William F. Courtney Foundation. You are all tremendous help in making these tournaments successful. Though there was some rain and no one brought home the Hole-in-One 2009 PT Cruiser sponsored by Liberty Motors, the tournament proved to be a huge success with 25 teams registered and 23 hole sponsorships; bringing in over $10,000 and netting just over $7,000 with in-kind trades. This tremendous success would not have been possible without all of our supporters.

Congratulations to our corporate cup winners! First place trophy winners Golden West Technologies; Rocky Mikkila, George Strandell, Bill Cook, and Ben Grupe. Congratulations to the second and third place winners Rapid City Downtown Lions #1 and Newell Lions #2. Way to golf to our pin winners: closest to the pin Jim Haddock and Mike Derby; longest putt Ken Dehn and Shane Sullivan and longest drive Ben Grupe.

We look forward to seeing you all at next year’s tournaments in Sioux Falls and Rapid City!
